Have you guys seen that “3 fictional characters” thing that was going around a few weeks ago? Basically, you were supposed to identify and post the three fictional characters you felt best described you.
I tend to stay away from those things in general, so I had no intention of posting mine, but then Angie sent me a Buzzfeed quiz that was supposed to tell you what yours were. I kid you not, I actually got Donkey from Shrek, so I decided to give it some thought after all. I couldn’t narrow it down to three, but here are a some of my contenders (also I love GIFs):

Amanda from The Holiday
I always identify with Amanda because I can probably count on two hands the number of times I cried from age 10-30. Like I would literally go months, even years without crying. Now I cry all the time though, so I’m basically just her at the end of the movie, blubbering like an idiot in the cab.

Olivia Pope
This one is just wishful thinking. No one even comes close to comparing to Olivia Pope. But I do have a real problem with trying to “fix” things.

Julia Braverman-Graham from Parenthood
She gets a bad rap, but I love Julia (minus season 5 but everyone hates her then). She’s a total badass lawyer but also really loves her family and has a huge heart for foster kids. Plus, she is married to the perfect man (again, season 5 aside). Team Joelia for life.

Leslie Knope
I love her. She wants to change the world, or at least her little corner of it, but her big dreams don’t always turn out the way she plans. She also (like me) has the best and craziest friends and co-workers in the world.

Buddy the Elf
At the end of the day, it’s really no contest. Everyone knows that Buddy is my kindred spirit. I love Christmas and the whole holiday season way more than any normal person should, in fact, I’m pretty much just a human who’s convinced herself she is actually an elf. I saw Elf: The Musical a few years ago and it’s still my dream to be in it someday.

This kid was also on the short list, but she’s not fictional so I don’t think she counts. Mornings are hard.
